BBVA created a new unit Prevention of financial crimewhose goal is to protect its clients and the entity itself.
As the bank explained in a statement on Tuesday, the new unit will be headed by Natalia Ortega, in addition to having a team of approximately 800 people.
This ensures that BBVA is the first banking group in Spain to create a unit to combat financial crime “in the broadest sense”. “We want to build a comprehensive solution model for the problems caused by financial crime for our clients, which allows us to focus our efforts on protecting them while avoiding the use of financial entities for illegal purposes,” said Natalia Ortega.
