Santander and Inditex are positioned among the most generous companies with their shareholders
The dividend is growing again as one of the great attractions of the Spanish stock market. So much so that, overall, listed companies will distribute close to €9,000m to their shareholders between now and next July, at a time when maintaining investor sentiment is crucial given economic uncertainty that many traders remain wary of risky assets such as are shares.
Banco Santander will start on May 2 with a distribution of 979 million euros with a payment charged to 2022 results of 0.0595 euros per share. On the same day, Inditex will pay 1.869 million euros (0.60 gross euros per share). AENA will also make its shareholders happy with the return of dividends after improving operations to pre-pandemic levels. At the meeting held this Thursday, April 20, a payment to the 2022 account of 4.75 gross euros per share will be approved, which implies a payment of 712 million.

Telefónica and Endesa will be the next to reward their investors. On June 15, the operator will pay EUR 0.15, which is a total amount of EUR 866 million. And Endesa will approve the distribution of EUR 1.5854 per share on July 3 at its meeting on April 28. For the company, this will mean the distribution of a maximum of 1,678.5 million euros to shareholders, of which Enel, which owns 70.1 percent, will receive a maximum of 1,176 million euros.
Repsol, in July
Fluidra (with 134 million euros), Enagás (with 270.3 million) and Repsol (with 464.5 million), among other companies, will be the protagonists of the July compensation. A month that will also be a reward for the shareholders of Cia Automotive — which will approve a payment of 0.419 euros per share at the general meeting — Indra — with a fee of 44.1 million with a dividend rate of 0.25 euros per title — and Acerinox, which will also at the assembly to propose the payment of 0.30 euros gross per share for the following July 17.
