Ministry of Trade and Industry (MICI) reported this week on new export achievements that have materialized recently.
It is a prefabricated modular solution manufactured in Panama, which will be shipped to its distributors in the United States.
In accordance with MICE, The export sector will send modular houses through the company Termotex for promotion among real estate clients in Texas.
“The turning point is that an industrial product of this size manages to reach and promote itself in a market that is so demanding and with high standards, such as the United States of America, and achieve the American NOAH (National Organization for Alternative Housing) certificate for manufacturers of small houses (small residences)”. said Eric Dormoi, MICI’s National Director of Export Promotion.
The official emphasized that this company has already exported to Caribbean countries.
According to Dormoi, these steps taken favor the diversification of supply for value-added or finished goods exports.
Andrés Casanova Silva, founder and president of Termotex, highlighted the support received by the MICI National Export Promotion Authority team.
“Whenever we needed something, be it contacts or logistical support, we have open channels with the ministry,” Casanova said.
The businessman said that they are just getting started in the United States, but they are betting on the success of the product.
The United States of America is one of the countries with the highest demand for prefabricated houses, the supply of which is also quite high.
