Camtur and Promtur signed an agreement for the benefit of tourism

He Tourism Promotion Fund (Promtur Panama) and National Tourist Chamber (Camtur) they signed a cooperation agreement for the benefit of domestic tourism.

Among the fundamental purposes of this agreement is the establishment of communication mechanisms that enable the exchange of information both from the research carried out by Promtur and information collected by Camtur from the main players in the national tourism industry.

This information will be analyzed together, to develop the best strategies, evaluated with the actors, who, if the promotion becomes effective, must provide a service to the tourist.

Camtur can submit projects for evaluation to Promtur which will pre-screen different areas of your organization to assess the benefit and economic impact on the country and the tourism industry.

In the meantime, Promtur will review the budget availability of the project, in order to later present it for evaluation and approval Board of Directors.

In addition, Promtur will have the authority to hold meetings twice a year in front of the working commission in order to present Camtur members with global trends and opportunities for effective promotion of national destinations and the results achieved in the efforts so far.

President of Camtur, Ovidija Diazindicated that the goal is to direct and coordinate efforts aimed at the development and promotion of all aspects related to tourism as an economic and cultural activity, as well as the implementation of programs to promote or promote tourism, among other activities.

“With this agreement, we are uniting experience and knowledge 16 guilds and strategic allies for the benefit of the favorable expansion of what Panama has to offer to the world; and return to economic benefits for the country,” he added.

for his part, Fernando Fondevilageneral manager of Promtur, said that they believe that joint work, coordination and communication, between all key players in the tourism industry, are key to positioning Panama as a unique destination in the region and creating development opportunities for the country.
