The measure, approved by royal decree last January, will be applicable to all processes that have been ongoing since April and have not exceeded 365 days.

Until now, the doctor gave the worker a paper copy of the sick leave, certificate and medical discharge report to submit to his company within a certain period.

However, the Ministry of Inclusion and Social security He believes that, considering the development of computer systems, it is possible to omit the delivery of a paper copy of the health report intended for the company to the worker.

The new standard foresees this the doctor will deliver a copy of the leave, certificate or discharge certificate to the worker, and the public health or mutual will send the information to the National Institute for Social Security (INSS)which in turn will communicate to the companies only the administrative identification information relating to the parties.
