Carnival Cruise Line established itself as the first cruise line to carry 100 million passengers since its maiden voyage.
For Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffythe company’s milestone is a testament to the fun and inclusive atmosphere that guests and team members alike have created over the past 51 years.
“There’s sure to be a lot of fun ahead of us. We continue to expand our operations at a rapid pace, with three ships joining our fleet in the spring of next year,” said Duffy, who visited Carnival sunrise as guests, they boarded the ship at PortMiami, where the cruise company was founded in 1972.

Carnival Cruise Line cIts new milestone was officially marked when Debi and David Clifford, who are vacationing from Ohio and represent the 100 million carnival guests worldwide, boarded the ship with their family.
Duffy and members of the ship’s team, led by Captain Luca Cherchi, greeted the passengers with a fanfare. Other guests who boarded the cruise were also able to participate in the festivities and take special photos showing that everyone is “one in 100 million,” the company noted.
Carnival Cruise Line Carnival is one of the most popular cruise ships in the world, but also one of the 25 “Best Companies to Work for Latinos in 2023”, according to Latino Leaders magazine.
