Delegation from Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce met with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Héctor Alexander, to confirm the economic ties and very good relations that have connected both countries for many years.
Ambassador from Austria in Colombia and competitor in Panama, Gerhard Doujakhe confirmed that “after many years, Austria has very strong ties, very positive relations with Panama, and we also want to expand that portfolio with new initiatives on the economic front”.
Currently, seven Austrian companies are developing projects in Panama in the areas of healthcare, transport and railway solutions.
For his part, the company’s commercial advisor Embassy, Nella Hengstlerhe repeated that “Panama is a very important trade partner of Austria.
Panama is the second largest trading partner Central America and it is an important place for investment in this country.”
For his part, he Minister Aleksandar He highlighted the aspects of the national economy, finances and the purpose of leaving Panama from the gray list.
“We are confident that this year we will be fully compliant with 15 actions of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF)“, pointed out Aleksandar.
