Panama will host the annual meeting of governors Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)to the event that will be held from March 16 to 19, 2023 in the Congress Center, the director pointed out Public financing of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Eder Córdoba.
Direct relationship of the institution with annual assembly of the IDBlies in the fact that Minister Héctor Alexander is the chief governor who represents the country before the international organization.
He added that through Administration for Public Financing liaison is maintained with multilaterals, which provide support, technical assistance and loans for social investment projects, thus contributing to the nation’s development.
Among the expectations of the results of the meeting of governors of the IDBit is expected to continue to support the economic recovery.
Reactivation will be achieved based on organization of events for the benefit of hotels, micro and small businessesand the entire tourism sector in the country, emphasized Córdoba.
He pointed out that after decisions are made at the level Assemblypolicies and strategies were established for the IDB to continue to support Panama through financing and technical assistance.
Main topics to be discussed at the annual meeting governors of the IDBthey are related to food security, social aspects, climate change, digital transformation and Panama’s advantages for attracting foreign investment.
