Double Olympian Jorge Enrique Castelblancostated that he would continue to try to get a stamp for Games in Paris 2024.

“When you want to improve, there are times when you have to take risks and put your fears aside without losing respect for the distance,” said the Panamanian long-distance runner.

“I could have run in the second group and tried to secure the minimum Olympic time of 2:08:10, but because of my feelings and confidence in my training I wanted to go higher, be brave and see what would happen if I went with a group of Africans; As a result, I lost my life, but I learned things that will help me in my training and future attempt to reach the Olympic minimum, only God raises why and how He does things, in due time!
