President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizothey visited the Sabanitas Substation of GIS type at 230 kV, which integrates the project of the new transmission line 230 kV Sabanitas-Panama III, informing themselves about the process that is being developed.
This project is of great importance in terms of the electromechanical assembly of the transmission line from Sabanitas in Colón to the province of Panama. This is part of the National Interconnected System Expansion Plan (PESIN), aligned with Energy transition plan.
Manager of ETESA, Carlos Mosqueraindicated that the work on the construction, equipment and operation of the Sabanitas-Panamá III high-voltage transmission line must be completed before the Gatún generator, in the province of Colón, begins preliminary tests through which the safety and reliability of the work will be confirmed.
Panama is gradually integrating into its matrix of cleaner and more efficient renewable energy sources.
