Panama unveils squad for W Gold Cup 2024

The coach, Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Quintana, has submitted a list of 23 invited players who will represent Panama at the W Gold Cup 2024 which will take place from February 20 in the United States.

In this first official call in 2024, coach Quintana called up 16 players who were in FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia New Zealand 2023, a four others who were present at the qualifying tournament for this Gold Cup (Domínguez, King, Parris and Rangel) and three others who entered the official DT call for the first time (the Palacio sisters and Cargill).

Panama vs. Paraguay

These same 23 players who have been called up will be considered for the preliminary match next Friday, February 16 at the Universidad Latina de Penonomé stadium, starting at 18:00, against the national team of Paraguay.

Concentration

This Friday, after training, Panama will gather at a hotel in Panama City where they will stay until Sunday, February 18, when they travel to the USA for the Gold Cup.

The national team will start training this Friday with the invited players who are already in the country, while the legionnaires who are still in their clubs will join in the coming days.

Training sessions will be held from Friday, February 9 to Thursday, February 15 at El Colegio de Panamá from 7 am to 9 am.

The media will be able to follow the complete training sessions on Friday 9th, Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th February. Interviews with the protagonists will be at the end of each training session.
