Last! Confirmed death of Luis ‘Matador’ Tejada

Sadness and pain have overwhelmed Panamanian football after the accidental death was confirmed this Sunday, January 28 Historic Panamanian soccer player and World Cup player Luis “Matador” Tejada.

It was learned that ‘Matador’ Tejada suffered a cardiac arrest in Veterans League in Santa Librada, San Miguelito County and they took him to the hospital, but he did not resist.

Football player Luis Tejada suffered severe chest pains during the match, despite attempts to resuscitate him in the ambulance, and unfortunately, according to preliminary data, his death was confirmed upon arrival at the hospital.

The Panamanian Football Federation (Fepafut) deeply regretted the surprising death of the Panamanian athlete, whom it described as “the historic scorer of the Panamanian national team, a fundamental point in the qualification for our first FIFA World Cup 2018.”

“Matador’ Tejada was synonymous with the development and evolution of Panamanian football, said Fepafut.
