Panama loses final on penalties in UNCAF U-19

Goal 12 steps, penalties, took their toll on Panama in the grand final against Guatemala in the UNCAF Under-19 tournament, which was held at the High Performance Center (CAR) of Club Olimpia in Honduras.

The match ended in a draw (0-0), but in the penalty shootout Chapines aimed better for victory (3-0) and won the title of champion in the category of the UNCAF regional tournament of Central America.

During the match, Panama had opportunities to score Moisés Garibaldo, Carlos Hernández, but they failed to realize.

Those led by Jorge Dely Valdés in the UNCAF regional tournament have not conceded a goal in four regular-time matches of the tournament, which means that the Panamanian goal has gone without a goal for 360 minutes.

Panama did not lose any games either, as the final was decided by penalty kicks.

The UNCAF tournament is a preparation for the qualifiers for the Concacaf World Cup, which secures four places for the U-20 World Cup in Chile in 2025.
