Enrico Fermi Italian Institute won the Kiwanis Basketball League – LBK U18 Women’s League title, defeating Colegio San Agustín 29 to 17; in a match worthy of a grand final to close out 2023; organized by the Kiwanis Club of Panama.
Chirican point guard Jaidy Nieto was the standout for the Enrico Fermi Italian Institute girls scoring 14 points, along with three rebounds, three assists and two steals;
Another standout in the U18 women’s final game, she was followed by Rasil Maase with 5 goals and six rebounds; Laura Escobar contributed 4 points, was the leader under the boards with 9 rebounds, was also the best in stealing the ball five times, and Giorgia Bagarella scored 4 points, grabbed two rebounds, three assists and two steals.
On the other hand, the best offensive players of Colegio San Agustín were Itdania González with 4 goals, the best was in rebounds with ten and two assists; she was followed by María Gómez also with 4 points, with six rebounds and an assist; María Laura González with 4 points, four rebounds and Andrea González scored 3, grabbed five rebounds and had two steals.
