Panama and Brazil, unbeaten match at the Pan American Games

Chirican right-hander Steven Fuentes will be the starter today in a clash between unbeaten Brazil and Panama, a game that puts baseball’s chance to compete for the gold medal at the 2023 Pan American Games on the line.

Fuentes, who already had an appearance at the start of the Pan American Games baseball tournament, pitching well against the Dominican Republic, was selected by Colon’s manager Hipólito Ortíz as his starter for the clash against Brazil, at (1:00 a.m. Panama time)

Panama won the home spot for the match with a draw and is preparing for a strong match against Brazil, who have a record (3-0).

Panama, also at (3-0), faces Brazil today and will face Colombia on Friday at (7:30 a.m. Istmeña time).

The two best teams in the super round go to the competition for gold, and the other two for bronze.
