Everything is ready for the Nazareth feast

Religious, municipal and security authorities are ready for the celebration in honor of the Black Christ of Portobelo, which will take place next Saturday, October 21.

Carlos Chavarría, mayor of Portobelo district, said more than 800 units of the National Police (PN) will be in charge of guarding the party.

There will also be the Land Transport and Transportation Authority (ATTT), Sinaproc, Red Cross, 911, Ministry of Health, firefighters, etc.

Chavarría added that a decree has been issued for next Saturday ordering the closure of bars and nightclubs from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight.

He added that between 30,000 and 40,000 people are expected during this weekend when the procession will take place through the streets of the Portobelo sector.
