Runners from 8 countries at the Las Tablas Half Marathon

Second edition Las Tablas Half Marathon, province of Los Santos, will gather more than 400 runners from countries such as: France, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, United States, Canada and Hungary and national, according to Edwin Rodríguez, organizer of the sporting event that will take place this Sunday, October 8, 2023.

This year, the holders of the organization: Edwin Rodríguez and Antonio Riosthey took the initiative to search for a new route that would start from Porras Park, Las Tablas on the way back to Las Comadres beach.

Furthermore, a big duel between local runners is expected: Daniel González, José Euribiades Cedeño and Christofer Jurado in the men’s and women’s branches confirmed their presence: Egris Arias, Anaís Alvarado, Magaly García and Yokonda Jurador among others.

Competitors can register for 21 kilometers, 5 kilometers and 500 meters (children’s race). The departure for the 21 km and 5 km is at 6:00 in the morning.

The prize fund exceedswith 5,000 thousand dollars in cash prizes that will be distributed to the best of the three distances.

This year, the competitive level will be very good, both in ladies and gentlemen, in the distance 21 kilometers.

This year’s medal alludes to the country house of the former president Belisario Porras.

ANDThis event will be held every year on the first Sunday in October.
