Forestal’s green methanol plant receives financial support from Brussels

The Triskelion project, which promotes the Forestal del Atlántico for the production of green methanol in Mugardos, received financial support from the EU, through Innovation Fund 2022. Although the amount that Tojeiro Group will receive has not yet been announced, it is an important incentive, since in the previous two calls for these incentives, only one Spanish company managed to get them.

Triskelion previously chose Brussels, among more than 300 initiatives, to receive advice from the European Investment Bank and then continue its maturation.

The business will integrate different technologies and production units to synthesize methanol, using water, renewable electricity and CO2 collected in an existing cogeneration plant at Forestal’s current facilities.
