Morgan Stanley increases its weighting in Applus to close to 10%

US investment bank Morgan Stanley increased its stake in Spain’s Applus to 9.752 percent from 8.812 percent previously, while Victory Capital Management fund amassed a 1.321 percent stake in the company, according to National filings. Securities Market Commission (CNMV). Morgan Stanley’s holding in Applus currently consists of 12.58 million shares, with a current value of 124.36 million.

This is Morgan Stanley’s fourth change in the share capital of the Spanish company since the takeover offer (takeover offer) for 100% of Applus by Apollo for the amount of HRK 1,226 million was officially announced on June 30. Since then, there have been changes in the company’s share capital, such as those made by the Sand Grove Opportunities fund, JP Morgan, Samson Rock, BG Master and Boussard & Gavaudan Partners, which increased stakes by more than 1%. They are joined by those of Barclays, which last week reported a 2.153 percent share in the share capital, and that of the French banking group BPCE with a share of 1.39 percent.

In addition, German asset manager DWS Investment, controlled by Deutsche Bank, reduced its position to 2.214%, while Harris Associates also reduced it to 2.959% and Norges Bank to 1.832%.
