Panama defines the squad for the U12 World Cup

Pilot Elpidio Pinto has defined the 18 players who will be part of the Panamanian team that will participate in the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) U12 World Championship to be held in Tainán, Taiwan between July 28 and August 6, 2023.

The Panamanian team consisted of the following players: Javier Acevedo (Los Santos), Isaac Achurra (Coclé), Juan Álvarez (Herrera), Carlos Aragón (Coclé), Carlos A. Aragón (Coclé), Alain Cruz (Los Santos), Mathew Flores (Panama Metro), Elian Gordón (Coclé), Algis Palacio (Los Santos).

The list of players is completed by: Juan Quijada (Coclé), Yunieski Sánchez (Panama West), Roger Vásquez (Los Santos), Justin Vergara (Los Santos), Abdel Vigil (Chiriquí), Dylan Williams (Bocas del Toro), Diego Camargo (Coclé). , Manuel Maclao (Panama Metro) and Zayth Meléndez (Panama West).

Panama faces the Dominican Republic in its debut, scheduled for July 28 at 11:00 a.m. Taiwan time, July 27 at approximately 10:00 p.m. throughout Panamanian territory.

The 18-man roster includes 15 players who were at the 2023 Premundial de México, where qualification for the World Cup is achieved, and three new members are included.

Elpidio Pinto will be the manager of the Panamanian team, his assistants will be Ángel Hernández and Jesús Guerrero, the pitching coach will be José Corrales, and Juan Gómez will be the physical coach.
