Lantania expects revenue to grow 15% this year after growing 23% in 2022.

Lantania expects revenue of 360 million this year, which would represent a 15.3% increase compared to the 312 million it collected last year, a figure that represents a 23% increase compared to the previous year.

At a press conference, its president, Federico Ávila, was optimistic about the evolution of activity despite the uncertainty caused by the war in Ukraine, inflation and rising interest rates. “Despite all these difficulties, our balance sheet is positive; We managed to strengthen our position supported by a development model based on sustainability, the creation of new companies and inorganic growth”.

Last year, Lantania signed orders worth 442 million, 60% more than in 2022, with projects such as the expansion of the Palma treatment plant, line 3 of the Seville metro or the connection of the AVE to the T4 terminal on the airport decks. He closed the year with a portfolio of 690 million.

The biggest boost came from the energy sector, which concentrated 22% of revenue. It is building three solar parks in this area, which are added to the portfolio of 250 megawatts of wind power plants. It also launched a self-consumption division that already has six projects, including the largest self-consumption photovoltaic solar plant in the port of Valencia.

For its part, infrastructure and water areas maintain a similar weight in the company’s business, 36% and 35% respectively, with the latter being one of the company’s future commitments to continue growing.

Inorganic growth is the third of the development vectors of the group, which has already foreseen 14 million euros in its strategic plan for investments over the next four years, purchases to be added to those of Balzola Polska and DSV Constructora e Inmobiliaria in 2022.

Revenues rose 19% through May (124 million), while employment jumped 60% over the same period, to 307 million. For this 2023, he expects 15.3% more entry (360 million euros) and the registration of 500 million new contracts, 13% more.

The company’s president admitted that an IPO of the company is not out of the question, although it is not currently in his plans: “There is still no volume for it, and the infrastructure sector is already heavily represented on the Spanish stock market.”

Federico Ávila explained that the company presented three initiatives to European funds of between 30 and 40 million euros in the field of desalination and renewable energy.

Business in Galicia

Lantania in Galicia employs 32 people, according to company data from last May. During 2022, he carried out works in the community worth almost seven million euros, and among the main ongoing projects are the construction of the Tomeža substation for ADIF, worth almost six million euros; contract for electromechanical works for Navantia in Ferrol, for 5.7 million; and another of 4.7 million for Red Eléctrica in the community. It is also building a treatment plant for Conservas Albo for 1.6 million and has concessions for the Laxe and Camariñas treatment plants for 400,000 euros per year.
