Martinelli is asking for votes for Caballero and appreciates the support

cpresidential candidate Ricardo Martinelli thanked for the support of Panamanian baseball player José “Chem” Caballero, a player of the Seattle Mariners.

Martinelli also asked to vote for the rookie, who is in competition for the position for Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

“We want to ask all Panamanians to support him by voting for him. He knows our support for sports,” said the former president.

Caballero made his Major League debut on April 15 against the Colorado Rockies.

Although the Mariners are taking advantage of his versatility, Santeño has played this year mostly on second base, but also had appearances at third base and shortstop.

He is currently hitting .239 with 16 RBIs and two home runs.

On Thursday, June 22, two players for each position will be revealed in a special broadcast on MLB Network at 6:00 PM ET and will advance to the second round of voting to determine who will start in Star game.
