Yassir Cabrera, focused on high level competitions

“As for the sensations, I felt very good, and I went to the competition very motivated and with the desire to break the national record (1h23m43s which belongs to me), but unfortunately it was not given to me, I lacked only 27 seconds to achieve it”, assured Cabrera.

“The next competitions will be 20 kilometers from the Central American and Caribbean Games which will be held in San Salvador, El Salvador in June and the 20 km South American Athletics Championships which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil on July 26,” commented the athlete from Bogota.

“I hope to enter both disciplines on the medal table and win valuable points for placing in the World Athletics Championships in Budapest Which will be at the end of August. After this it will be Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile at the end of October, where I hope to be and represent Panama”.

“I’m inside right now Bogota Colombia recovery and active rest after the competition in Spain and I will continue training for the next competition at the games of Central America and the Caribbean,” concluded the Panamanian.

In April this year Yasir Cabrera he competed at 35 kml Pan American Championships in Athletic Walking held in Managua, Nicaragua, where he finished fifth best on the continent and very close to the podium.
