Panamanian golfer Laura Restrepo this Wednesday, she achieved historic qualifications for the US Open, one of the main tournaments in women’s professional golf.
Restrepo finished in first place in the qualifying round, after shooting 67 and 69, six under par on the course.
For Restrep, the place he just secured at the major is a dream come true.
“It was my dream to play at the US Open and today I secured my ticket,” commented Laura excitedly.
She accomplished the memorable feat with her husband, also a golfer Trevor Slummanin the bag.
Restrepo had words of thanks for Sluman, because he accompanied her during 36 holes, despite the rain.
Her father, Juan Carlos Restrepo, expressed his happiness at the new achievement of his daughter, who has taken unprecedented steps in her career for Panamanian golf.
Laura has played in recent years on the Epson Tour, the introduction on the star track of American golf.
He also had the opportunity to play tournaments on the LPGA Tour, the major league of the sport.
The US Women’s Open will bring together select fields from July 6 to 9 on the famous course in the Pebble Beach, California
