Up-and-coming Hollywood actresses of the 90s that everyone forgot about - where are they now?

Claire Forlani

The spectacular brunette with sharp cheekbones and seductive almond-shaped eyes was one of the most beautiful actresses in the second half of the 90s. Claire got her distinctive features thanks to her roots: her mother was English and her father Italian.

The audience had plenty of opportunities to admire the actress. In 1996 she starred in the action film The Rock and in 1998 in the film Meet Joe Black. She escaped from the filming of the latter not only with another portion of fame, but also with Brad Pitt on the arm – a romance began between the actors. However, these relationships did not last long. In the early 2000s, Claire’s popularity was at its peak, and the actress was regularly included in the ratings of the sexiest women.

But then Hollywood began to disappoint the actress. She no longer wanted to be part of the party and despised it. In 2007, Claire married actor Dougray Scott and began to focus more on sports and family.

Thora Burch

One of the leading young actresses of the 1990s, Tora began acting as a child in the late 1980s and soon won the Young Actor Award for Most Promising and Talented Star. In 1999, she played the role of Jane Burnham, the daughter of the main character Kevin Spacey, in the Sam Mendes film American Beauty and in 2001 she appeared in the film Ghost World, where her partner became a young Scarlett Johansson. This project earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.

In 2010, Tora took a break from her career, then tried her hand at producing and acting in independent films. She got married in 2018 and then returned to roles in bigger and more popular projects, such as starring in the tenth season of The Walking Dead in 2019.

Jodi Lynn O’Keeffe

Jodie left school at the age of 12 and began acting in films, but her first breakthrough came in 1996 when she played the daughter of hero Don Johnson in the popular 1990s TV series Detective Nash Bridges. At the same time, behind the scenes, the on-screen father and daughter began an affair: Don was then 47 and Jodie 18.

The role in the series made her a star and brought her to the attention of Hollywood producers. So in 1998, she first appeared on the big screen in the movie Halloween: 20 Years Later.

Jodie was not married, although in her biography there were novels with other Hollywood handsome men, including John Cusack.

O’Keeffe is still filming on TV (by the way, you can see her in one of the episodes of The Big Bang Theory), but she has long since disappeared from the category of recognizable actresses.

Geena Davis

The audience remembered Geena Davis primarily for her bright role in the film “Thelma and Louise”, where she played a duet with Susan Sarandon. And few people know that a few years before that, Gina managed to win an Oscar in the category “Best Supporting Actress” for the film “Reluctant Tourist”.

In fact, in 1995, a role in the film Cutthroat Island, which was a complete failure at the cinemas, destroyed Davis’s quite successful career. The black line lasted almost ten years, but the actress still managed to rehabilitate herself. In 2005, the series The Presidential Woman was released, in which Davis played the main role of the American president Mackenzie Allen. She received a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy for it.

Davis was married four times, but children did not appear until her last marriage to plastic surgeon Reza Jarrakhi. They divorced in 2018 after 17 years of marriage.
