The Ministry of Health of the Stavropol Territory announced the circumstances of the death of Diana Gurtska’s husband. The 46-year-old deputy minister of science and higher education of Russia flew to Moscow after a work trip to Cuba. In the air, the official began to have health problems.
The plane carrying Peter made an emergency landing at the Mineralnye Vody airport. The paramedics were aware of the situation and were already on the runway waiting for the plane to arrive. All necessary procedures were carried out immediately.
“At the request of the crew, an ambulance was immediately dispatched to the airport. Doctors boarded immediately after landing and began performing resuscitation. The doctors did everything they could to save the patient, but unfortunately he died,” KP quoted the representative of the Stavropol Ministry of Health as saying.

Diana’s husband worked as a department head at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, where he was once a student. “RUDN University expresses its deepest condolences to the relatives, friends, colleagues in connection with the death of the university graduate, head of the department, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Petr Alexandrovich Kucherenko,” the university said in a statement.
