The Hermione We Didn’t Know: This Is Why Star Stuntman Replaced Emma Watson In Harry Potter Scene

The Hermione we didn't know: This is why Emma Watson was replaced by a stand-in in a Harry Potter scene

The presence of substitute young actors on the set of “Harry Potter” was connected not so much with stunts as with the rules of work. Persons under the age of 16 cannot by law work more than four hours a day. Therefore, those scenes where the hero’s face could not be clearly seen in the shot, they tried to shoot with substitutes in order to save the working time of the main actors for the main scenes.

Flick Miles replaced Emma Watson on the court. And she got one rather striking scene. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, when Hermione turns into a cat as a result of a mistakenly prepared multifaceted potion, it turns out that we saw exactly Flick on the screen, not Emma! Watson was found to be slightly allergic to makeup glue, so the young actress decided not to take too many risks.
