Alexander Abdulov played Korovyev, a demon from Woland’s retinue. And five months later, Abdulov underwent emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer, after which he began to have heart problems. The actor’s condition worsened, and in September 2007, the actor was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. Abdulov died on January 3, 2008, three months before his only daughter’s first birthday.
