The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived in Birmingham today. The couple decided to celebrate the city’s diverse culture, meeting leaders in the arts and creative industries. Kate, 41, opted for a chic look for the appearance in Britain’s second largest city.

The Duchess wore a £229 pleated burgundy dress by Karen Millen. Her hair was down. She completed the look with high heels. The mother-of-three added sparkle to her look with £100 Dina gold earrings by Sézane with blue gems dangling from the tassels. William chose a dark jacket and trousers with a sky blue shirt.

The couple’s outing today is their first since the Easter holidays, which they spent with their children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. During the trip, William and Kate, who arrived in Birmingham by train, visited Indian Streatry, an authentic family run independent Indian restaurant. It is located in the city center.

Run by the Sharma family and run by chef and mother Meena, this inn started life as a street food stall in Digbet and became a favorite of the town’s Digbet Dining Club. The restaurant, which opened in 2017, houses a team of chefs. It consists entirely of women. The menu offers a mix of authentic Indian street food, Sharma family favorites and British-Asian fusion dishes.

Kate chose discreet make-up

Family and staff welcomed Kate and William. The couple were told about the restaurant’s history and then met former University College of Birmingham students who studied there. The royals also met the culinary team and tried handmade roti, a simple flatbread often served with cooked vegetables and curries.

Kate and William’s departure came after the Prince of Wales backed Lorraine Kelly, praising the TV presenter for her work in the fight against colon cancer following the death of Dame Deborah James. William met mother-of-two Deborah last year, a few weeks before her death, at her parents’ home in Surrey. He awarded her the Order of Dame and enjoyed a glass of champagne with her family in the garden, the Daily Mail reports.
