The life of the famous artist was cut short on Tuesday, April 18. This was announced by the management of the Kharkiv State Shevchenko Theater.

“Only a month and a half ago, we congratulated our actor Alexander Tartyshnikov on his anniversary, and now we are forced to announce his death. Time is so fleeting … Blessed memory of Alexander Maksimovich, ”noted the theater.

Alexander Tartyshnikov was born on February 1, 1943 in Tashkent. In the 1960s, he worked in theaters in Krasnoyarsk, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Nikolaev, Chita and other Soviet cities. From 1974 he began to serve in the Kharkiv State Theater.

He first appeared on the screen at the age of 28, playing in a military drama about the defenders of Odessa “A train in distant August.” He appeared in 27 films during his career.
