Vera Fischer was born in Brazil to German parents in 1951. The gray-eyed blonde stood out from her peers – at the age of 15, Vera began her career as a model. In 1969, she won the Miss Brazil beauty pageant and from the late 1970s she began to act in television series, starting with the erotic genre. After that, Vera signed a contract with the Globo studio, which was responsible for the production of most of the famous Brazilian telenovelas.
Vera is best known to the Russian audience for her role of Elena in the series “Family Tie” and for the role of Iveti in the legendary “Clone”. In total, the filmography of the actress has more than 30 roles. In 2020, she ended her collaboration with Globo and started acting more in the theater. Fischer, 71, also hopes to work on projects for the streaming platform, saying she has outgrown the soap opera format and is looking for more interesting roles.

Of course, Vera has changed in recent years – she has gained a little weight and gray hair has appeared (although her actress usually masks it). But her bright smile never faded. Fisher also denies any suspicion of cosmetic procedures.
“I want to have my face. I am a theater and drama actress, I need facial expressions to make my face “work”. I have no desire to inject botox and do things like that,” Fisher said.
The actress is also known for her candid interviews. For example, she once stated that she does not suffer from the fact that there is no man in her life and masturbates regularly.
The actress has an only son, but her romantic relationships with men did not work out very well – an early marriage repelled the actress’ interest in family life. But Fischer has no regrets.
“Life belongs to me. Who has always paid my bills? I never depended on anyone. Even from his father. I was working, and when I went somewhere at night, I didn’t have to explain it to anyone. Most of all, I want to enjoy life, have dinner with friends, drink wine,” Věra admitted.
