The 65-year-old artist has become the central figure in a court case about the death of a man on the set of the film Rust. Alec fired and hit cameraman Galina Hutchins. Baldwin was opposed by relatives of the deceased living near Kiev – parents Olga Solovey and Anatoly Androsovich, as well as her sister Svetlana Zemko. Relatives are outraged that the actor did not even apologize to them. Galina’s mother and sister also say that if she were alive, she would have moved them to the United States long ago.

Alec fundamentally disagrees with their demands. The actor has not heard that Hutchins keeps in touch with relatives. According to Baldwin, the lawsuit establishes an investigation and was filed only to “receive compensation.”

“Losing a daughter and a sister is undoubtedly painful under any circumstances. However, the plaintiffs had been physically, financially and emotionally distant from Galina for many years before her death. They have no real basis for a claim against the defendants. This conduct is misleading,” the Daily Mail quoted court documents as saying.

The star father of many children has already solved all the problems with the widower Matthew Hutchins and Galina’s 9-year-old son. The actor entered into a settlement agreement with the operator’s relatives in October 2022.

A lawyer for Galina’s mother and sister said they just want to make sure Baldwin “is held accountable.” According to lawyer Gloria Allred, the actor is “again trying to avoid it.”

Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter in February 2023. Alec faced up to five years in prison. Over time, the court recognized this as erroneous, citing a change in laws.
