Anna studied at the School of Dramatic Arts in London from the age of six and got her first TV role at the age of 9 in the TV series Cutthroat Coast. By the way, Popplewell applied for the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter saga, but did not pass the casting – the Chronicles of Narnia eventually brought her world fame.

Anna continues to act in films and as of May 2016 is married and has a daughter, Zoya.
