About youth

Cher began the interview with her mother, who is 94, but tells everyone that she is 74 – as the singer herself: “I always thought she was incredibly beautiful, now I see her grandmother’s features. My mom and I still laugh together often. But he’s getting old, and that makes me nervous.’
“I hate getting old,” Cher admitted. “What, should I have said I love it?” Of course not. Any woman who is honest with herself will say that there is nothing funny about it. When I went on tour, we had two shows a day and then we danced all night… And now I have to rest because I have to perform again the next day.
About trying to kill her

“Besides, I don’t want to go anywhere,” he continues, “because now everyone has a camera in their pocket and it’s not safe. People run up to you and you don’t know if they want to kill you or just take a picture.”
I had a case where a man wanted to kill me. I performed on Broadway, I walked out the back door. I thought the man wanted to shake my hand, but he grabbed it and dragged me along. He took me to the street and said, “If you make even one sound, I will kill you.” Two people, who later became my friends, realized something was wrong and started shouting across the street, ran to me and he ran away.
About plastic surgery

Cher talked years ago about the pressure on all people in show business in terms of youth. And now she’s a living advertisement for plastic surgery. “Is it good? For who? There are girls who go under the knife at 18. I never wanted that. They want big lips and butts, I don’t get it.”
Cher believes that surgery is very necessary in her field: “If you’re not good at what you do, people don’t care what you look like.” She admits she gets tired more quickly, but her voice is better than ever: “I’ve been working on my body all my life to keep it strong and resilient. Not all 20-year-old girls can do what I can do.’
About leaving the stage

Cheri’s first farewell tour began in 2002 and grossed about $100 million over three years. What will make her go on stage now?
“I love to stand on stage and sing. I love the feeling you get inside at this moment… It’s huge, you feel like you can fill the whole space with yourself and put your whole audience in it. I’m very modest, but when I go on stage, everything changes, says Cher. – Many stars are very shy and so am I. But you need to get the audience off the stage, and I know how to do that… If you’re in pain, I’ll make you forget about it for an hour and a half.
