“My situation is similar to the story of Roman Kostomarov”: dancer Daria Elagina gave birth to a daughter in a post-covid coma 04/02/2023, 18:25

Daria was seven months pregnant when she became seriously ill. At first, Elagina did not pay attention to the symptoms: she coughed a little and had a slight fever. A week later, she was suffocating, and when she got to intensive care, her lungs were 99% damaged.

The pregnant woman was placed in a coma, connected to life support. She had an emergency C-section to save her daughter. Just two months after sepsis and amputations, the woman recovered and saw her daughter for the first time. Lisa is now one year and 10 months old.

Daria talked about a difficult birth

Daria is in rehabilitation for the second year. However, Elagina believes that she will still be able to return to her work: before her illness, she taught at a dance studio. The dancer remembers nothing from the birth. In a coma, she only saw strange dreams.

“In my dreams I was constantly fighting for my life, they wanted to kill me, kidnap me, someone attacked me, but I really wanted to survive. Either I went by tram, and there they took all the money out of me, then I asked someone to call my husband, but they refused me, no one came to me, “Daria admitted.

When she woke up, she thought she had lost the baby and couldn’t move at all. “I thought for a long time – why did I survive? Maybe because when I was unconscious I had no fear? That means when a person gets sick, they start to worry, but I didn’t have time for that because I was in a coma. And she fought. Everything depends on each individual, “explained Daria.

Daria found the strength to enjoy life

Now he constantly reads news about the difficult history of the famous skater. “I had almost the same situation as Roman Kostomarov. There was 99% lung damage, stroke, torn lung, nosebleeds, double sepsis and much more. True, fortunately I did not have necrosis – thanks to my doctors, because they developed me in intensive care. He needs one thing – the will to live! – the mother of two children advised the athlete.
