LFO founder Brian 'Brizz' Gillis has died aged 47

The music world mourns the death of one of the founders of LFO. Former bandmate Brad Fischetti confirmed the sad news and paid tribute to a friend who died aged 47. “Each story consists of chapters. Some develop naturally. Some of them you have to carve in your mind. The first two chapters of the LFO story lost a main character yesterday. Brian “Breeze” Gillis has passed away,” Fischetti said.

Relatives of the deceased musician did not officially comment and did not disclose the cause of death. Couldn’t shed light on this and a former LFO member. “I don’t have the details and I wouldn’t share them if I did. I’m really trying to get over this tragic loss,” Brad said.

The musician recalled the fate of the band members. The band was founded in 1995 by Brian, Brad and Rich Cronin. The last musician died in 2010 at the age of 36 from leukemia. Gillis left his bandmates in 1999 to pursue a solo career. He was succeeded by Devin Lima, who died in 2018 at the age of just 41 after battling stage 4 adrenal cancer.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the history of the LFO is a tragedy. If you’ve seen what I’ve done, you know I’m trying to bring light into the darkness. He tries to find redemption in pain and suffering. They try to honor the heritage. Today I remember my former teammate and friend Brizz. Brian was referring to the LFO. Brizzo’s hard work and determination in the early days were integral to LFO’s success. The band you’ve come to know and hopefully love wouldn’t exist without him,” said Fischetti.

Brian

The musician admitted that his relationship with Brian was not always smooth, they had both disagreements and reconciliation. The band reunited several times for extensive tours. “I learned a lot from him about the music business and how to put together and rock a show. And it is these positive aspects of our relationship that I will rely on now and forever. I have been praying for Brian every day for many years. And I will continue to pray for him, for his beloved father, for his friends, his family and those who loved him. Rest in peace my eastern brother. Be calm, “Variety quotes the artist.

LFO (Lyte Funkie Ones) was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her debut album brought the group’s lead hit “Summer Girls” to the top of the music charts.
