The trial of the 50-year-old Hollywood star was broadcast on television. It’s been a hot topic on social media for the past two weeks. Terry Sanderson, a 76-year-old retired optometrist, sued Paltrow for $300,000.
The paramedic claimed that in 2016, the actress bumped into him while skiing at Deer Valley Ski Resort. As a result, according to Terry, he suffered a concussion, four broken ribs and a head injury. Paltrow counterclaimed for $1 and legal fees.

Under Utah law, a skier has the right to ski. Paltrow testified first, speaking in front of eight jurors. She explained in her speech that she was watching the children go down the slope when Sanderson hit her from behind.

“I was skiing and two skis got caught between my skis, so my legs were spread apart. And then a body pressed against me. My brain was trying to figure out what was going on. I thought, “Is this a prank? Is someone doing something kinky?” Paltrow asked.
Sanderson spoke even more emotionally. His version differed from what the artist said. Terry pointed to his injuries.

“I remember everything was great and then I heard something I’ve never heard in a ski resort and it was a blood-curdling scream. I got hit in the back of the shoulder blades, I was flying, and then everything went black, “the optometrist assured. Doctors and ski experts were also called to testify before the jury during the trial, according to Variety. They ruled in favor of the movie star.

Before leaving the courthouse in triumph, the Oscar winner touched Terry’s shoulder. “I wish you all the best,” the actress whispered. Sanderson told reporters after the session that he replied, “Thanks, honey.” When asked what the optometrist was going to do now, he jokingly replied that he would probably go to Disneyland.
