Robert Knox was born in Kent on 21 August 1989. He started acting in films at the age of 11 – his first film work was a small role in the popular detective series Pure English Murder.

But the real success in the life of the young actor was an invitation to shoot in the movie “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”, where he played the Hogwarts student Marcus Belby. Robert’s career was about to reach a new level, as he immediately signed a contract for the next film in the series – “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”.

However, the plans were not destined to come to fruition. With his participation, Robert did not even see the first film of the magical saga. Even before the premiere of the tape, he was stabbed to death in a street fight in London. Knox bravely rushed to the defense of his younger brother Jamie and suffered several life-threatening injuries. It was 2008 and Rob was just 18 years old.

In a terrible coincidence, a friend of the actor’s rugby team was also stabbed to death two weeks ago.

Knox’s killer, Carl Bishop, was only two years older than him. In March 2009, the perpetrator received a life sentence for killing Robert and maiming his friends. He has the right to review the matter, but no sooner than after 20 years. He is currently serving a sentence.

Rescued by Robert, Jamie admitted that he could not come to terms with his brother’s death for a long time. Even today, she thinks and talks about him as if Rob is still around. Jamie also decided to try acting, taking part in several TV shows. And in 2022, Knox Jr. participated in the filming of a documentary dedicated to the memory of his brother.
