Stars From stage to catering: Lady Gaga, Ryan Gosling and other restaurant stars

Lady Gaga

The singer’s parents, Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta, opened Joanne Trattoria in New York in 2012. Cookbook author Art Smith became the chef. Lady Gaga herself is a business partner of the company. The restaurant, named after the singer’s aunt, serves Italian dishes. Every performance of Gaga is a joy for visitors.

In 2003, the singer opened the first club 40/40 in New York. Soon there were five of them, but the bars in Las Vegas and Atlantic City could not stand the competition. And the Brooklyn and Atlanta airport locations are still open. The name comes from the baseball term for 40 “home runs” and “stolen bases” in one season. The bars offer a wide selection of drinks and snacks.

Ryan Gosling

The actor is one of the investors of Tagine, a Moroccan restaurant in Los Angeles. The restaurant’s website says the actor decided to open it after trying several dishes from chef Abdessamad Benamer and said he was ready to eat like this for the rest of his life. “Chief Ben” has run the kitchen there ever since.

Robert DeNiro

The legendary actor has long been known as a successful restaurateur. In 1994, he opened the Nobu restaurant in New York. The chef is Nobu Matsushita. Since then, the chain has grown to 39 restaurants and eight luxury hotels on five continents. De Niro also co-owned the Tribeca Grill and Locanda Verde restaurants.

Channing Tatum

The actor opened Saints and Sinners in New Orleans in collaboration with childhood friend Kate Kurtz. The restaurant serves local specialties such as crocodile tail or crayfish cake.

You Burrell

The Modern Family actor opened The Eating Establishment in Park City, Utah. More precisely, he completely updated the concept of the cafe, which has existed in this building for more than forty years. Nearby, the actor opened a bar with the simple name The Beer Bar.

Chris Noth

The handsome man from “Sex and the City” became the co-owner of the restaurant and concert venue The Cutting Room in New York in 1999. In addition, he met his wife Tara Lynn Wilson there, who worked at the bar for a while.

Jon Bon Jovi

The two JBJ Soul Kitchens in New Jersey serve traditional American food, but the menus don’t list prices: the establishment runs on donations. The singer came up with this concept back in 2011, so that those in need could eat for free.
