Dmitry Svirgunov

The co-founder of the popular group Cream Soda Dmitry Svirgunov, also known as Dima Nova, celebrated his 35th birthday in March 2023 in the Yaroslavl region. There was no sign of trouble, but suddenly the company came up with the idea of crossing the Volga. In the heat of fun, the friends didn’t think about the fact that the ice is already very fragile in March.
They managed to cross the river one way, but on the way back the ice broke and they all fell into the hot cold waters. Only two managed to reach land, with one of the victims dying on the way to hospital. Rescuers found Dmitry Svirgunov’s body downstream a few hours after the incident. His younger brother Andrej also died.

Natalie Wood

The famous Hollywood actress of Russian origin drowned on the night of November 29-30, 1981 while sailing on a yacht off Santa Catalina Island in California. The circumstances of her death are still considered mysterious. Apart from her, there were only three people on the yacht: husband actress Robert Wagner, actor Christopher Walken, with whom she then starred, and yacht captain Dennis Davern.
At first, the police did not show any evidence in favor of a violent death, but on the 30th anniversary of the death of the actress, the investigation was renewed. The final image of that unfortunate evening has not been established, although the police suspect that her husband may have been involved in the death of the actress. They got into an argument that evening and scrapes and bruises were found on Wood’s body.
Whitney Houston

The legendary singer was found dead at the Beverly Hills Hotel on February 11, 2012. The coroner’s report states that the cause of death was accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use contributing. Houston was 48 years old.
Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt

On December 17, 1967, 59-year-old Holt went missing while swimming near Portsea, Victoria. According to some reports, he was relaxing on the beach with his alleged lover and her loved ones. Holt decided to swim, despite the high waves and … disappeared. Those who remained ashore immediately raised the alarm, one of the largest search operations of those years began with the participation of Navy divers and Air Force helicopters. However, the politician’s body could not be found – he was officially declared dead on December 19. His death was ruled a tragic accident. However, there were supporters of other versions: some believed that it could be suicide, others even suggested that Holt could become a victim of American intelligence services.
Anthropologist Michael Rockefeller

One of the most terrifying stories is the disappearance of the son of politician and banker Nelson Rockefeller Michael. The young man was an anthropologist and in November 1961 he went on an expedition to Oceania. The younger Rockefeller wanted to study the settlement of the cannibal tribe Asmat. He reached it down the river in a boat with a weak engine. On board with him were two locals who had been hired as guides and the ethnographer René Wassing.
At some point, the boat’s engine broke down and the guides ventured to swim to the shore, although there were crocodiles in the river, to find help, but ended up lost in the jungle. Soon Michael also decided to get ashore – since then no one has seen him. Vassing was eventually rescued, and a search began for Rockefeller, but he was never found—or his body. What became of him was never ascertained. The versions are one worse than the other – from that he drowned or was attacked by crocodiles to that he was eaten by the cannibal tribes he was heading towards.
