This trick helped Kate Middleton settle into the royal family – and Megan failed to do so

Royal expert Tom Quinn has published a book dedicated to Kate Middleton and Prince William. In it, he revealed many palace secrets, such as details of Kate and William’s household nicknames and even how their arguments play out. It turns out that the Princess of Wales affectionately calls her husband “Prince Baldy”, that is, the bald prince – William’s hair has already thinned, but Kate is not trying to offend him at all. The nickname is Middleton’s playful response to her husband constantly commenting on her “endless mane of hair”. During family arguments, it is Will who is emotional, but Kate maintains a “Buddhist calm”.

It seems that this is what helped her fit perfectly into the royal family.

Few remember now, but early in her palace life, Kate also regularly faced hate from the press. Then British journalists were not at all happy that the representative of the “working class” became the wife of the heir to the throne, because Kate’s mother worked as a flight attendant, and her father was a pilot. The reporters expressed their claims about Kate’s parentage without remorse and in the harshest form.

However, Kate simply didn’t respond to that.

Kate never answered. She didn’t complain. She didn’t write letters to the press or call the editorial office. She didn’t say anything. And it was a good move. She showed how calm she was and did nothing. And over time, all the attacks came to naught,” the book says.

Meghan Markle, as you know, could not show such endurance. Her relations with the press also did not work, but, unlike Kate, the American immediately rushed to journalists, constantly complained about them and asked for the protection of the palace. And there, this approach was clearly not appreciated, especially since Kate’s behavior in a similar situation was still fresh in her mind.

And this comparison was clearly not in favor of Meghan Markle. As a result, Prince Harry’s wife did not become her own in the palace, but Kate’s trick worked.
