One of the most beautiful sports couples in our country shared their joy in an exclusive interview with VOICE. Nikita assured that for many years he dreamed that Daria would give birth to a child from him.

“Our relationship started in 2014-2015,” said the Olympic champion and three-time world champion. – I was 18 at the time and Dasha was 17. Two years later we went to Israel for a training camp and I wanted to propose to her there because I had already decided to start a family. But it turns out that not everything is so simple in our life. Dasha had a vision that it was still too early for marriage and even more for children. Two years later I proposed, we got married, and since then I’ve been telling her almost every week to have kids.

However, Daria replied to her husband that it was a serious and responsible step. The girl asked him to wait until she herself felt that she was ready to become a mother. So five years have passed.

Nikita told how his wife told him about her pregnancy. Somehow, between work trips to sports tournaments, he flew home to change and immediately flew to another city. Then his wife turned to him with an unexpected request.

“Dasha asked me to ride with her and make a video of the rail,” Nagorny noted with a smile. – She said, “Come on, let’s fool around.” Of course I couldn’t refuse. I come, he puts on my headphones and says that we will put them on one by one and guess the words. She guessed. Then I put on my headphones and she starts saying the line I’ve been waiting for the most in my life. And of course I couldn’t have guessed because I didn’t even have such a possibility in my mind. It was supernatural to me. When I heard she was expecting a baby, I was so happy! For the first three days after that, I carried Dasha in my arms.

Many friends complained to the titled gymnast that the period of his wife’s pregnancy was very difficult for them mentally. Nikita explained that everything is different in their family.

“I’m shocked at how smoothly we’re going through this period and how cool everything is! – admitted the athlete. – New unreal feelings for his wife, a love that is no longer like a wife, but like a native. This is beyond words. The need to feel. I want to be near my wife all the time, listening to her navel (Laughter). Dasha is fine. May God keep it up. Sometimes Dasha forgets that she is pregnant. He can pick up some box or something, which I curse a lot, but nothing can be done. She is pregnant for the first time in her life.

Daria assured that she felt fine. Sometimes she really forgets that she is pregnant. According to the gymnast, her husband’s relationship with her has changed.

“All my jeans are no longer buttoned and I have to wear big pants,” said the 2016 Olympic silver medalist. A very unusual and cool feeling. I could never imagine but what it’s like to carry someone inside. I get it now, but of course not completely yet. This is just the beginning, the most interesting is yet to come. Nikita started taking care of me more, I like it. It even supports my nighttime meal sometimes.”

Nikita confirmed that he is now hearing strange suggestions from his wife. So around midnight, Daria sometimes offers dumplings, a sandwich with sausage, cucumbers and tomatoes to eat. Despite the sports regime, he also eats at night to support his wife.

“Dasa has no whims, but there are a lot of great moments,” Nagorny pointed out. “Sometimes her mood changes. One day he can cry, the next day he can laugh and frolic, one day he wants to fly somewhere to relax, the next day he wants to work. There are such interruptions. But I can say that she had such cute moments before pregnancy.
