Saving Private Ryan actor Tom Sizemore dies of aneurysm

The “Saving Private Ryan” actor died at a Burbank hospital. The artist’s brother and twin sons were by his side, Tom’s manager Charles Lago said.

“It is with great sadness and sadness that I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep today at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank. His brother Paul and twins Jayden and Jagger were by his side,” Charles said in a statement.

On February 18, Tom passed out at his home in Los Angeles. The actors were diagnosed with a brain aneurysm in the hospital after a stroke. Sizemore fell into a coma. Nine days later, the actor’s family said there was no hope of recovery and offered to take Tom off life support.

Tom is best known for his role as Sergeant Mike Horvath in Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan, which won five Academy Awards. Sizemore also starred in Strange Days, True Love, Natural Born Killers, Black Hawk Down and many more.

Tom was married only once: his marriage to Maeve Quinlan lasted only three years and ended in 1999. In 2005, the artist became a father: Janelle McInteer gave birth to twins. Six years ago, Tom was charged with domestic violence: he was sentenced to 36 months probation.
