Still a tough nut to crack: Bruce Willis made his first public appearance after a gruesome diagnosis

The Hollywood actor stopped acting in films last year due to a battle with aphasia, which impaired his speech skills. In February, the artist’s relatives confirmed that they had found the timelessdementia and fully retired.

The retired blockbuster hero felt that the support of his friends was priceless. He was spotted walking with two friends in California. Bruce was wearing a blue sweater, black joggers, a wool cap, and blue sneakers. After lunch, the friends strolled leisurely in Santa Monica with cups of coffee in hand.

Willis was last seen in public in late January, when he also met up with friends in Los Angeles. It happened just a few weeks before his disappointing diagnosis was made public.

Dementia is an acquired dementia, a persistent decline in cognitive activity with loss to some extent of previously acquired knowledge and practical skills. The disease affects areas of the brain behind the forehead that are responsible for behavior, problem solving, planning and emotions. Symptoms include personality changes, compulsive behavior, and difficulty speaking.

Bruce has three daughters from his marriage to Demi Moore – 34-year-old Rumer, 31-year-old Scout and 28-year-old Tallulah. After the divorce, the actors maintained friendly relations and are engaged in the joint education of their daughters. For the past 13 years, Willis has been married to model Emma Heming, who is 23 years his junior. The couple have two daughters, Mabel (10) and Evelyn (8).

The two “tough nut” families, who had gotten along well before, became even closer during a difficult time for him. The statement of illness was released on behalf of Bruce’s former and current wife and his five daughters. They noted that the actor remains their beloved husband, friend and father, and also thanked everyone for their incredible support, reports the Daily Mail.

Relatives of Willis noted that dementia is a serious illness that can affect anyone. Since the spring of last year, the artist began to develop rapidly. Those close to Bruce lamented that there are currently no treatments for the disease and expressed hope that this would be fixed in the future.
