The most mysterious deaths: how Duncan, Fedorova, Wood and other stars died

On February 3, 2016, the day before her 80th birthday, she was stabbed to death in her own apartment. At the time, her son Peter was there, who was abusing alcohol. Zoya Fedorova

On December 10, 1981, the 71-year-old actress was shot in the back of the head in her own apartment. Shortly before that, she had gone to visit her daughter, who had emigrated to the United States, and was also collecting documents for emigration.

The murder of Fedorova was never clarified. Her friends and colleagues remember her repeatedly declaring, “If they kill me, the KGB is involved.” However, no evidence was found that she possessed any state secrets or was involved in illegal affairs.

Stanislav Zdanko

On April 13, 1978, the 24-year-old actor died of a stab wound to the chest. His common-law wife Valentina Malyavina said that the guy had a mental disorder and stabbed himself.

The case was conducted with numerous violations, as a result it was closed. In 1983, the case was reopened at the request of relatives, Malyavin was charged with murder and sentenced to nine years in prison. She was released after five years.

Isadora Duncan

On September 14, 1927, the 50-year-old dancer and ex-wife of Sergei Yesenin died in Nice under ridiculous circumstances. She leaned out of the window of a moving car and a long silk scarf got caught in the wheel and broke her neck.

Eyewitnesses say that before getting into the car, she said: “Goodbye, I will love!”

Jane Mansfield

On June 29, 1967, the 34-year-old actress died in a car accident: the car collided with a road train. This accident also killed her lover Sam Brody and the driver. Jane’s three children, who were sitting in the back seat, were barely injured. According to unconfirmed reports, the actress was shot in the head as a result of the accident.

Natalie Wood

On November 29, 1981, the 43-year-old actress died of hypothermia in the water. She sailed on a yacht with her husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken. None of them saw her fall into the water, the body was found one and a half kilometers from the yacht. Shortly before, Wood had untied the lifeboat for some reason.

The version that her husband was involved in her death was investigated, but no solid evidence was found.

Tennessee Williams

On February 25, 1983, the 71-year-old writer was found dead in his hotel room. The cause of his death was an overdose of alcohol and drugs, the version was then changed to an intolerance to one of the drugs.

He actually died from having the cap from an eye drop bottle lodged in his throat. Due to alcohol and drug use, Williams did not have a gag reflex.

Elizabeth Short

On January 15, 1947, the body of a 22-year-old aspiring actress was found in a vacant lot in Los Angeles. He was cut in half, his face mutilated. This murder has never been solved, despite over a year of investigation due to extensive media coverage, dozens of suspects and several candid confessions. It is known that Elizabeth was called the Black Dahlia, and songs, poems, paintings and even several books are dedicated to the circumstances of her death.
