“How I fell in love 16 years ago!”: Regina Todorenko tried on the iconic image of Audrey Hepburn 20.02.2023, 07:00

Audrey Hepburn played eccentric Holly Gollightly in Blake Edwards’ 1961 romantic comedy Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The film produced several images that went down in history.

One of the most iconic was the outfit of the actress, in which her heroine arrived at the Tiffany & Co. boutique at 5 o’clock in the morning. A little black sheath dress by Hubert de Givenchy, a long pout, a perfect hairstyle and a necklace – that’s how Audrey appeared in the frame.

Regina repeated this image of the actress. She made a funny video in which she first appears hooliganly relaxed, and then changes.

“How I fell in love with this movie 16 years ago! Much later I found out it was an adaptation of Truman Capote’s wonderful book. I decided to read it in the original and I was thrilled with how the author describes the main character Holly Golightly. She’s such a brave, headstrong, passionate girl,” Regina said.

Ten years later, Vlad Topal’s wife re-read the book and realized that the main character was actually a completely different person. Regina realized that the frivolous girl was looking for a rich man who would leave her a big check. “Now I sit and think about how do the books we read affect us as human beings and how do they shape our path in life?” asked the artist.
