Belyavskaya wrote the lyrics to the songs “Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors”, “Fantasy” and “Broken Cup of Love” for Nikolaev. Philip Kirkorov, Nikolay Baskov, Mikhail Shufutinsky, Larisa Dolina also play compositions based on Svetlana’s poems.
At the same time, the sixty-nine-year-old poet never deserved to exist without a cloud. Svetlana complained about the lack of money: she barely survives on the disability pension, which is about six thousand rubles. The poetess receives royalties, but this amount does not exceed 500 rubles per month.
Belyavskaya has been without a right hand since birth. “I’m retired, I don’t work… How much money can I have? No one is to blame for the fact that I was born like this, without a hand, it was God’s will,” admitted Svetlana bitterly in an interview with the magazine Paragraf.

In 2008, she wanted to start a new life and move from Perm to Moscow. The artist sold the apartment, but the plans were not intended to be implemented. Svetlana returned to her native Perm, where she now lives in a shared apartment.
