The Nutty Professor and Playboy star Stella Stevens has died

The star’s son Andrew Stevens reported on the tragedy. The man noted that his mother suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, which significantly worsened her quality of life in recent years.

Stella was born in Mississippi. She married at 16 and soon gave birth to a son, Andrew. The couple divorced when the child was two years old. While studying at the university, the girl was noticed by producers and invited her to play in Hollywood.

Stevens signed a contract with 20th Century Fox, but canceled the contract after 6 months after receiving a better offer from Paramount. In 1960, she already received the Golden Globe Award as New Star of the Year.

The actress began acting for the men’s magazine Playboy: this collaboration lasted ten years. However, in 2004, Stella called her decision a mistake and convinced herself that she had been cheated, promising to pay a large sum. Nevertheless, the actress was included in the list of 100 sexiest stars of the 20th century according to Playboy.
