The main psychological problem of the athlete is that she had a childhood without childhood. Alexandra started rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 5, at the age of 12 she ended up at a sports boarding school.
“I had a choice to stay in my city and continue to do gymnastics for myself, or to move on and put all my strength into the sport. I went through two Olympic cycles, that is, I lived at the base for eight years. This is a lot, because girls usually break down quickly – either physically or mentally, “said Soldatová.
The three-time world champion was cut off from the world of her peers, ordinary entertainment was not available to her. “We have an expression: the golden cage. On the one hand, the base has everything – a pool, a sauna, a dining room, a doctor, the Internet, but you can’t go out or meet friends, not because they don’t let you, but because I don’t have time or energy,” said the gymnast.

Before it really started, the girls spent in the hall from morning to evening. According to her words, Saša understood her responsibility to represent the country and left herself whole in the hall. At the age of 16, the girl went to the World Cup for the first time.
“The journey from the residential building to the hall takes seven minutes, and I always walked and cried, just because I was tired. You can die, but if you don’t come up with a plan, you won’t leave the hall. You can’t complain because if you retire, we have a huge bench. If you drop out due to injury, then suddenly you are nobody and you have to prove everything again, “admitted the athlete.
According to her words, the gymnast has not imagined her life without pain since the age of 13, professional athletes are always in pain. Injuries, fractures, dislocations are a great sport and winning costs health.
In 2020, Alexandra attempted suicide, was diagnosed with bulimia in the hospital, and at the end of the year announced that she was quitting sports. According to the girl, at the age of 22 she had to learn to live again – to solve everyday problems, to build relationships with people. Fortunately, she met a loved one who supports her.
“I have a very good person next to me now. He is exactly ten years older than me, he is 34. Actually, he is the one I always imagined next to me, the one who can direct, design. He is not afraid to offend me somewhere, to tell the truth, that my communication suffers, for example. I never take offense. He understands that I simply skipped the school of life. Then I had my own tasks: you don’t see anything, you don’t hear anything, and you go exactly to them,” said Soldatová on the Ida Galich show “I survived.

The girl was able to adapt to ordinary life, she is getting a second higher education – studying economics. Alexandra has been organizing tournaments for young gymnasts for five years. “I love working with them, organizing master classes, going to training camps. I do it with pleasure. I consider it my duty to share experiences, “said the sports star.
Alexandra is from the chosen one in the last stage of pregnancy. She doesn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps. “I would give them sports, I will support any of their hobbies, but I hope it will be at the amateur level, I don’t want professional sports for my children,” added the gymnast.
