The research of the documentary film consists of four series about the creative and personal journey of the famous artist. For the first time, viewers will visit her house, workshop and the famous marble quarry in Carrara, Italy with Aidan.

The main character of the project will honestly and sincerely tell about the victory over cancer, professional successes and failures, about the difficult transition from modern painting to marble sculpture; he will talk about his relationships with parents, lovers, colleagues, friends and enemies.

Prominent figures of Russian art will share their memories and stories related to Aidan Salakhova: former general director of the State Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova; Sophia Trotsenko, president of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art Foundation; Rector of the Moscow State Academic Art Institute VI Surikov, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Anatoly Ljubavin; artist and sculptor Patti Nicoli; art critic, editor-in-chief of the ArtGuide portal Maria Kravtsova; artist, gallerist and film director Jevgenij Mitta; artist Alexandra Vertinskaya; XL gallery director Elena Selina. TV presenter Andrei Malakhov and project author, producer and collector Alexei Bokov also took part in the project.

“Aidan.doc” is not only a biography, but also a subjective psychologized assessment of Aidana Salakha herself and her surroundings. While friends and colleagues analyze the life and work of Aidan, she in turn gives a life assessment of herself, her creative journey and the events that influenced the course of the history of contemporary art in Russia.
